Ex-cop wins $59,000 Underbelly payout
| FORMER Kings Cross cop Wendy Hatfield has been given an early Christmas present - $59,000.She won a defamation case yesterday against the publishers of Underbelly: The Golden Mile, the tie-in book to the hit TV series screened earlier this year.But her case against Channel 9 and Screentime Australia for broadcasting and producing the top-rating show is far from over, with that battle set to be fought in court early next year.Ms Hatfield was not in the Supreme Court as a verdict and judgment was entered in her favour to the tune of $59,000. |
